Hallo Bengan! Actual lessons with certified instructors are hard to come by here on the east coast which is a pretty good idea actually. Lots of folks will say just jump in the water - but that's usually the same folks that complain about beginners not knowing how to act in the line up. Knowing "what's what" will keep you and other surfers safe while you learn ...... We do however have a gang of surfers that can be helpful at times (Willy being NOT one of them
) You're gunna need a serious wet suit - at least a 4/3 most of the season mayby a 3/2 other times - You can find used gear/boards etc. on this and the nordsurf.com fourum - you should be able to borrow a BIC sometimes depending ..... Drop me a mail.
