Yesterday, I paddled 1km out to see and surfed a spot never before surfed in the Sundsvall area..it was a Bombora that we had been checking out from afar for a year..I paddled out alone and surfed it alone for 1 hr before the swell dropped and it stopped breaking..While the other guys surfed waist to head high powerless wind slop by the shore, I got double overhead clean a-frames with grunt...I now officially name this spot 'RATLAND' ...Here's to discovery!!!! Come on - Ratland? How about Ratora(?)

I have named two spots in Ireland. ((Instead of usual stupid namin convention like Area + Reef, left, right etc.. ( Good example Easkey Right - where can it be?? - doh! compared to PMPA or Black Spots...))

I called em Toiletbowls and Kiddies Corner - no one can find em with those names!!!

I name it Ratland..you know.....like G-land, G-Bay, Velzyland etc etc...First to surf gets to name it and that's what I name it..forever and from now,,,RATLAND hahahahahaha;)

Nice one Rat. I hope to have a Sheepland soon, just waiting for the right window. If you haven´t paddled it you shouldn´t surf it. He who paddles wins.
On that thought ,if a bloke paddles far enough, he could get some sick pits.

that is awesome, I reckon Sharkies would be a good name for a spot, keep the crowd out. I'm considering renaming a spot I surfed today, I think Pissoar would be a better name for it (Swedish for Urinals)

well sharkie, if ya snooze ya loose, I surfed it for more than hour, we were three people trying to keep up with the swell and catching everything, and so it went on for 45min. After 1½hrs the crowd awoke and I left for work. Morgonstånd har guld i mun my friend!

But maybee you were talking of some other place though....coz I did'nt quite get the pissoar thingy, was it smelly today?

jag håller med sharki... högern är en jävla sjösump!iallafall för mig ,har fan aldrig haft en bra session där..undrade idag om de inte vilar nått ont där! körde hamnen o längre in mellan 9,15- 13,00= inga folk, långa rides och inte 50km/h strömt.

Well guys, thanks for the cred..! one of the original surfers up here..dropdeadfred..wrote in our blogg that he thinks that I was fucken crazy to paddle out there 'cause apparantly there's a major shipping lane in the middle.. ..I don't give a fuck though..I've been in much worse scenarios than being in front of a big mutha fucka of a boat in my life...you wanted a pic..well here's a long distance one of the break but I don't think that you'll ever see a pic of the wave close up from us 'cause it's at least a 500-600m paddle out into the ocean and we don't have a water camera...YET..that is.. After having surfed it I would have to say it would have to be the best wave we have up here..as I said..it's a bombie..(the ozzies know what that is) so it needs a bigger swell to go off but the ones I got..(the biggest waves that came thru that day broke)..were really good with crunch added...biiig takeoffs and steep drops and I can see it being pretty nasty at 6ft+ (oz size that is)..anyway here's to RATLAND....and here's the pic..peace dudes..RAT
