WARNING, this message is very long winded and probably not worth your time.
I don't know how many of you are Adam Sandler fans but he released a CD in '96 (I think) where he does little skits (not shits) and has some funny songs. Well, there's a song on the CD called, "Piece of Shit Car". I've grown fond of this song because I have a piece of shit car that I use to get to work in. The song pretty much sums up how my car is and in a way makes me feel a little better about my POS. Before every "besiktning" I get really stressed out and worried "Ah man, what the hell is gonna be wrong this time!!?=!=!"
Well the past year, I've had serious problems with my exhaust pipe. I have repaired it 3 times to no avail. Turns out my muffler was blocked for some reason (I'm not a very well liked person in theez heer parts I reckon
). So last year I took it off and slammed the damn thing on the ground and tried to get all the crap out of it. Then I crawled under my car (again) and repatched all the holes that I patched the time before.... I start up my car and no exhaust comes out.. 3 hours of work for nothin...Then on my way home I hear "BAM!" and there went my patches again..
By this time I'm thinking if I should drive it into the river and see if I can scam the insurance for a new car.. But I'm a good person and I would never take advantage of the "system". So I get home and beat the hell out of my car slamming the door and punching the roof as if it could feel my frustration.. So I gave up... The year went by and I tried my best not to think of it and punishing my car by not giving it oil, letting the coolant run dry, letting it freeze and trying to start it in -30 just to torture it... Well, besiktning has now arrived and it was time for drastic measures. So I went to the local parts dealer and bought a full exhaust setup. If you're still reading.. hahhahah you must be really bored..
Ratman came to my rescue. He has a car garage with full-on car lifts and tools galoure! I didn't dare ask him if I could use it since he is there all the time as it is, but he offered and I bit. He willingly stayed after work and fixed my problems while I sat back and drank a few beers and ate chips. In a couple of hours he was done. On the way to take my car to him, my car died. It wouldn't start. But I lucky could jump start it. So Rat suggested I go buy a battery at Q8.. which i did (1500kr!!!) I was thinking to myself, "that's a wetty and a few free bars of wax and stickers". When I got back, low and behold, Mr. Rat just so happened to find a battery that was hybernating in some dank room trying to be forgotten. We put that battery in and it worked great! So i took the battery back and got my money back. Not only did he save me a ton of time trying to put my exhaust on, but he saved me 1500 kr!!! This is what friendship is all about. When a friend was in need, he willingly stood up and picked me up.
Because he is such an outstanding friend and a humanitarian person, I'd like to publicly announce that Mr. Ratman Aussie deserves to receive the Gold Crown Award for his loyalty as a friend. Everyone who has actually read this, please give Mr. Ratman Aussie props. He's a stand up guy and one of the greatest friends a person could have.
