How's it going, I'm an Australian guy in Simrishamn, Skåne until the 29/12/08. Anyone keen for a surf if the swell hits in the next 10 days? I have my board here (which I'm trying to sell incidentally) but no wetsuit which is clearly a bit of a problem for my sensitive skin haha.

If you're in the area and keen for a paddle with a stranger from down under and have a spare wettie then drop me a reply. Yeeeeew.

hi! Im in the UK at the moment but heading for Sweden in about a week. Don't know if I'm there before the 29 but if I am and the swell is working a take you out for a paddle in a couple off spots. Do you have a car? Mail me if you keen.

there are plenty of spots out there where you are...you just need a car so you can drive around and find them one they are kicking up good sets. Since Sweden is not like Aus you need to look at the windforecast to determine when the swells are good......

Unfortunately people aren't keen on publicly outing spots due to the fact that there arent as many as there would be in say California or Aus. I recently moved here from the States so I am in a similar predicament as you are. Best advice is to hop in your car (coastal route of course) and look for it...its not that hard really. I took a drive a while ago and found several spots that no one was surfing...maybe not as big as south cali but definately surfable if you are looking for good sets.

Also, get a 6/5 wetsuit with a hoodie and booties/gloves or you'll freeze your butt off

Yup I agree but please don't post spots here once You find them..There are some ok spots here and there BUT the only consistency is unforunately in the ever increasing crowds...God Jul!

I don't agree. The reason why some say Swedish surfers dont want to share surfsports with others is that they don't dare to do so. They think everybody else think that is a bad to share and because Swedish people and surfers always obey the group, no matter what, then you find Swedish surfing in this situation we are, unfriendly on the net and in media.

In this forum there is a handfull surfers that write the most posts, but they do not represent the most of surfers here, but as they and everybody else think that, they do.

so yeah the wind was howlin today, prob some surf on the south coast I guess before it turned more north-east. reckon it must like a really strong east wind to wip up some fun here on the simrishamn coast. I spent most of the summer here and I see what you mean, there must be no shortage of spots when the swell hits, nice bendy and variable coast which is ideal when your dealing with short range wind swells. would most definitely have gone for a sniff today if I had a suit, damn it. I'm a medium/ large if anyone wants to hook up for a paddle. don't forget I have that board to sell also, 6'3" semi-fish, there's a post in the marketplace for more details. nice aussie shape. yeeeeew.
