it's like this stoney..if you get water in your board..polyester i am guessing??!! you need some form of warmth to get the water to evaporate (dundsta) ..it would be better if you left you board lying deck down in your apartment or house (that is heated of course) and when it's sunny and warm put the board out in the direct hot sun..the board will get warm the water will get warm, get hot, turn to vapour and evaporate..if you leave your board in the cold cellar the water will just stay there.
when i was making and repairing boards..if it was a 'rush job' i would use a hair dryer to heat up the board and make the water evaporate faster.(don't melt your board) but it works..the best thing is to suck all the water out with your mouth or your vacuum cleaner and then stick your board i the sun whenever it's hot/warm outside! make sure that your board is totally dry before you repair it..good luck, pray for surf and let's hope we get a shitty windy and big wave summer!!
