Getting Rid of Ants.....

Q. I have a question about ants. We have had a problem with ants. We have tried the borax & sugar, and poison, nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions?


Outdoor Ant Control
Supplies: 1 to 2 gallons water
Stove or barbecue grill
Instructions: Heat water to 160 to 170 degrees. Quietly sneak up to the mounds of ants and pour the boiling water down the hole.
Note: I normally try to do this between 11am and 2 pm.

Indoor Ant Control
Supplies: 1 tbsp. boric acid
1 tbsp. mint jelly or peanut butter
1 cracker
Small cardboard box
Instructions: Mix the boric acid and mint jelly; spread mixture on a cracker. Punch pinholes in a cardboard box; place cracker inside. Place box in an area where ants cause problems, but away from children and pets.
Note: The mint jelly or peanut butter lures the ants in and the boric acid kills them.

Sverre as Liar. Attempt at a Psycho-historical evaluation

This hypothesis seems to imply that King Sverre either lacked the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, or that he based his most important life project upon a deliberate, conscious ethical and mental conflict.

In the first instance Sverre's personality would bear resemblance to that of a psychopath. That would hardly form a sufficiently secure basis for a prolonged ideological crusade, with Sverre cast as a morally committed leader.

If, however, Sverre's life project was based upon a permanent, consciously perceived psycho-ethical conflict, such a pairing of career pattern and presupposed psychological constitution requires further explanations.

This hypothetical combination pattern may be evaluated in the light of psychological theories, in their treatment of personality structures, attitudes and psychological functions. For this purpose the cognitive dissonance theory, the psychoanalytical theory, and the incongruence theory have been chosen as frames of reference.

All of these theories seem to agree - using different metaphors and perspectives - that a condition of conscious psychological conflict will generate mental tension, which the person will seek to reduce or eliminate.

Such conflicts may be resolved rationally. In Sverre's case that would have meant either giving up his claim to the throne because he knew it to be false, or discarding his moral and ideological commitment. According to history he did not do the former; according to Lunden he did not do the latter.

According to psychological theory, a condition of unresolved psychological conflict will intensify tension to the point where psychological defence mechanisms are triggered. The operations of these mechanisms all involve loss of rationality to some degree. If such mechanisms were operational in the personality of King Sverre, the ensuing loss of rationality makes it difficult to understand how his career pattern could be implemented.

Men Ants har det inte gatt upp for dig att aven du ar en egoist. Du grinar och gnaller allvarligt talat som en femaring som inte far den dar godisbiten pa vag ut ur icabutiken.
Ar det inte dags att inse att ni som vill tavlingssurfa ar en liten minoritet av alla som nu surfar runt var langa kust?
Kul att ni haller pa och sa om ni gillar det men dom flesta ar nog mer ute efter lite lugn och ro, naturupplevelse osv an att ha en surfcirkus klattrande runt pa varenda sten och kobbe langs kusten med huvudjagarkameran i hogsta hugg.

Att kalla dom som inte gillar detta for javla sura egoist loosers ar ju bara for mycket, snacka om att kasta sten i glashus.

Kan inte alla sluta var såna jävla crybabies! surfingen växer hela tiden och du kommer inte kunna sitta själv i din lilla skogsvik hela livet, kan förstå att ingen älskar crowds eller NSP:S på sin favvo-point.
Men vad gör det det om det EN ENDA dag på ett år kommer ett gäng och tävlar?
mestadelen av de som kommer är inte från orten i fråga och du slipper dem resten av året..

Intressant hur detta blev nagon lokalism debatt.

De personer som gnaller som gamla karingar om lokalism verkar ju mest vara folk som

- sallan surfar
- aldrig surfar de bryt som de anklagar folk utova lokalism pa.

Vad innebar det att vara local?

Om det innebar att halla iordning i line up, saga till idioter som droppar brador o ligger ivagen sa ar jag 100% local.

For ge ants lite perspektiv kan val jag o erik g forsoka kora vert ramp samtidigt som ants.
Eller ova kickflips i flatten. Precis kopt en grym brada fran stadium...och sandaringa sk8 klader.

...börjar märkas här på forumet att de varit platt på havet för länge nu ..
